The problem of making homemade pasta

Nowadays the hardest part of making homemade pasta is to have a home to make pasta in. And for an Italian like me, this is getting quite serious.

 

There is no doubt: we are being foreclosed on the American Dream.

 

Well, America survived already one great depression, but the problem of the early thirties was simple by comparison. People were broke and often jobless, but they usually weren’t in debt. Today people, corporations, and governments are increasingly both broke and have mega-debt. 

Subject I touched on HERE not long ago.

 

This moment has something to teach us. Maybe this unprecedented economic unraveling, is the opportunity for many of us to start over – and to do it differently.

 

In the Japanese language the word "crisis" is made up of two symbols: "danger" + "opportunity". That is how the word crisis is written in Japanese. So let's  look at this current economic situation as a dangerous one that holds tremendous opportunity for those that want to grow and outcreate it.

 

Yes, because finally America is becoming a nation of affordable housing.

Real home ownership,  the American Dream, not the speculative investment, is now affordable again if we look for the special deals the banks are now forced to offer to the market.

in  2007, just sold

for $160,000 in short sale.

Homebuying is an amazing thing. It is a long term investment into our security. It is what he called "forced savings". Whatever you pay on your mortgage you don't spend it elsewhere. And the idea is that in 30 years you'll have it paid off, and you won't have to rent, but only pay taxes and insurance and have some wealth built up. Property values will historically grow faster than inflation, so over the long run you won't loose.

 

As foreclosure rates hit record levels and property values have decreased drastically, more sellers are turning to short sales as a way to avoid foreclosure.

 

So, what is a short sale and how does it work?

 

In a short sale, the seller arranges with their mortgage lender to accept a price that's less than the amount they owe on the property. As part of this arrangement, the lender may agree to forgive the rest of the loan. As a result, the seller doesn't have to go though a foreclosure, the buyer picks up a property at a discount, and the lender avoids taking on the burden of foreclosing and marketing the property.

 

They are a lot of extra work for agents like us, dealing in short sales and bank owned, but the payoff is certainly more than just a commission on these deals when we succeed.  Everyone wins every time we keep another home from ending up in foreclosure. 

 

If you know someone who is upside down on their mortgage or in danger of being foreclosed on, have them contact us, realtors experienced in dealing with short-sales or bank owned. We are seeing HUGE success rates in stopping foreclosures with short-sales and these homeowners might qualify for it!

If you are a buyer remember this: for now and many months to come the Short Sales or the Bank Owned Property are unquestionably the best deal in real estate, and we decided to deal with it in the best possible way: helping you to get them. You will be surprised how low some sellers' lenders would let you go.   ;-)

 

Two kinds of best deals:

 

1) Foreclosed properties (bank owned homes that the bank really wishes they didn't own, as now they have to maintain it, pay property taxes, cut the lawn, and try to sell it into the same overloaded market in which it probably did not sell for months before foreclosure, so they better sell it really cheap and really fast); or

 

2) Short Sales (buying for much less than the mortgage owed on it with the lender's approval. The buyer is happy because he gets a bargain, and the bank is pleased to have the situation solved without having to foreclose on it. It also muddies the waters and gives the impression something is being done to solve the crisis).

 

We personally spend a fair amount of time searching SHORT SALES, Sellers that are motivated, bank-owned, and developer's close-out specials, and we are getting some GREAT Deals for our Buyers.
